Patient Services
Our New Patient Experience
On your first visit to our office, you’ll get a real feeling for the kind of care and attention we provide to all our patients. You’ll have an entire team dedicated to your care and comfort during your entire appointment!
You’ll be greeted by one of our dental coordinators who will assist you in filling out your medical and information forms. We’ll ask about any concerns - physical or mental - that you have about your dental care, and our coordinator will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
You will then be introduced to the assistant and the hygienist who will work with you that day. They will take any necessary x-rays before the doctor comes in to do his examination. This is a thorough, extensive examination that includes an oral cancer screening, a periodontal screening, and a careful check of every tooth for signs of decay or damage.
The doctor will then discuss his findings and his treatment recommendations with you, showing you any areas of concern in your mouth using a monitor and the intraoral camera. (You’ll be able to see exactly what the doctor is seeing.) He’ll carefully explain any procedure, answer any questions that you may have, and tell you how long the treatment will take and how many appointments it’s likely to require.
After you and the doctor have finished your discussion, the coordinator will provide you with an estimate of the cost of treatment, including any insurance coverage you may have and your out-of-pocket expenses. The coordinator will discuss payment options, and will schedule any future appointments you may need.
