Dr. Robert Bruechert
Dr. Bruechert was born at Emanuel Hospital in
Portland, Oregon. He attended West Lynn High
School where he graduated in 1976. Dr. “B”, as
he is known by patients and staff, moved on to
Portland State University, earning a Bachelor of
Science Degree in 1979. He next attended Oregon
Health Sciences University School of Dentistry,
earning a Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD).
Dr. “B” spent the next year (1984) doing a
General Practice Residency at the University of
Washington Hospital. He then spent three years
practicing at the Seattle Indian Health Clinic and
18 months helping those less fortunate in
Cameroon, West Africa. 1989 found Dr. Bruechert
helping patients right here in Vancouver. He
practiced here on his own for three years before
joining New Horizons in 1992.
Dr. Bruechert and his wife Karin have two daughters,
Jaquie and Ana. The Bruechert family also has
a dog named “Simon” and a cat named “Nikki”. In
his spare time, Dr. “B” enjoys reading, bicycling,
singing and computers.He has special interests in
Christian Classical Education, science, theology,
missions and math.
Dr. Robert Seemuth
Dr. Seemuth was born and raised in Milwaukee,
Wisconsin. He earned a Bachelors Degree from the
University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. Dr. Bob then
attended Marquette University Dental School where
he earned his Doctor of Dental surgery (DDS).
From 1974 to 1976, Dr. Bob served as a navy
dentist at the naval base in Bremerton, Washington.
He then moved to Clark County and started a
private practice, providing general dental care
to patients in Camas and Stevenson from 1977
to 1984. In 1984, Dr. Bob moved to Vancouver
and founded New Horizons Family Dentistry. He
has practiced General and Cosmetic Dentistry in
Clark County for over thirty years. Dr. Seemuth
is an active member of the American Dental
Association, the Clark County Dental Association
and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Bob and his wife Brenda have two sons who
attend Portland Christian High School. He spends
much of his spare time helping others. Dr. Seemuth
has traveled to seven different countries donating
much needed dental services to those less fortunate.
Dr. Bob also participates in “Ironman” Triathlon
races (six so far) to raise money for charity.
Dr. Steven Hopmann
Dr. Hopmann was born in Portland, Oregon but his
family moved to Vancouver, Washington when he
was two. He has lived here ever since. He attended
Columbia Academy for high school, then went
on to Clark College for one year. Dr. Steve then
transferred to Pacific Union College in Napa Valley,
California. He then did a one year internship in
Medical Technology at Portland Adventist Hospital
before entering and completing dental school at
Loma Linda University in Southern California.
Dr. Steve came to Vancouver in 1984 to join New
Horizons Family Dentistry. He has practiced
General Dentistry at their Fourth Plain/Andresen
location for the past twenty three years. He is an
active member of the Clark county Dental Society
and belongs to the Academy of General Dentistry
and the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the
American Dental Association.
Dr. Hopmann has been married to Vicki for thirty
years. They have eight adopted children plus a dog
(Ginger), a cat (Little Man) and a parakeet.
The Hopmanns love outdoor family activities like
boating, water skiing, camping and snow skiing.
In his spare time, Dr. Steve likes to scuba dive and
fly airplanes.
